The perfect Friday night

Picture posting inspired by a fellow foodie- I am obsessed with Julia Child and all things francais...after enjoying her memoirs (not to be confused with Julie and Julia), I received volume 1 and 2 of Mastering the Art of French Cooking from Santa Claus and can't get enough of her delicious recipes. Though, come to find out, they are not the secret key to sensational weight loss.

I really want to work on some classic French recipes too, but I hate how cliche it is now after Julie and Julia. Maybe I'll wait a few more months, years, lifetimes? Whatev. :)

  2. Don't get me started on that movie or Amy Adams. Blech! The only comparison that comes to mind is when Jennifer Love Hewitt played Audrey Hepburn in some made-for-TV biography, which incited adolescents everywhere (who hadn't already purchased it) to purchase the Breakfast at Tiffany's poster and ticky-tack it on their dorm room wall.

Nothing worse than making cliche something that is legitimately fabulous and in good taste! Despite the recent cliche status of french cooking, it is my absolute favorite food and I'll let Amy Adams piss me off but I won't let her take my dignity (slight dramatization). ;)
